Draft program for the youth outreach

Dear Brothers and sisters in Christ

There was a suggestion to have a local outreach by the Bethel youth during the Christmas break – i.e morning of December 18^th, Saturday .

Accordingly, we looked at a few options. Bro. Rajan from Devanahalli, who had brought some of the children for our previous VBS, was very excited, and offered to arrange a hall for us in Devanahalli so that we can do a follow up program for the children who came for the VBS, and for any other children who may wish to attend.

 

Grace suggested the following program schedule

 

1)       Singing session – Mix of English and kannada songs

2)       Ice breaker activity – to get everyone active

3)       Song – solos or small group

4)       Puppet show – (Story + Gospel) . Nancy has some hand puppets and she can work with others to organize?

5)       Singing

6)       Talent time – the children from Devanahalli can present something

7)       Activity 2 and/ or craft time

 

At the end we give each participant a small gift of biscuit, a chocolate and / or something pretty.

 

All Bethel youth who are not going for the Andhra outreach, please volunteer to play a part in this. It’s tempting to leave Bangalore on 18^th as soon as college closes, but this extra day spent for the children will make your Christmas break a memorable one. We need volunteers for the following:

 

Singing teams that can do action songs, vocals, instruments

Puppet show participants, story writers and help with props

Games – suggest and conduct games

Craft – conduct craft sessions

Prepare gift packs

Transport

Prayer coordination

Raise Finance

Manage AV equipment – projector, cube, mics etc.

 

As you can see, we need everyone of you to be heavily involved. Suggestions and ideas are not just welcome, but essential, if we are to do this well.
