Good Evening BOCers, 

I received this from Ben who has been in conference with the other race organizers about the Flying Moose hapening this Sunday

Unfortunately, due to lack of snow coverage on crucial trail spots on the course, low participant sign up, and cold weather that may not reach legal racing limits, we have decided to cancel this year's Flying Moose Classic.

While we never like to do this, it is in the best interests of both the racers and our organization. As the Race Director, I am working on refunds and hope to get that worked out shortly. If you have signed up to volunteer, we greatly appreciate it, and we hope you can join us next year for the event.

Many thanks for your understanding, and we hope you will join us next year for the Flying Moose!

I participated in the Geschmossel race today at Bretton Woods and a number of the Vermont and New Hampshire skiers that normally come were lamenting that this year there are 5 races that weekend and so most would be attending those races near their home venues. There was also shared concern of the cold.
