Update - 2/4/2011

Bethany made great progress today.  Last evening, her breathing tubes were removed and this morning on my way yo work, I stopped in to see her and she talked to me.  She talked to me on the phone several times throughout the day and got up and sat in a chair three times today.  Her mother, who had been at the hospital 24 hours a day since Monday, got a chance to run home this afternoon and get some sleep and get refreshed.
Bethany's pain is still pretty stiff,but she's getting along pretty well and the Drs are happy with her progress.
