Today was a huge day.  Both ladies made great progress today.

Mary came home to our house today to recover and is being cared for by Judy (Bethany's sister-in-law).  Scott was comfortable enough with her progress to fly home today to be with their 5 kids.

Bethany's catheter was removed and she is "going" on her own (if you know what I mean).  She has also been up walking in the halls and has kept solid food down.  She is feeling better than she has felt in years.  She was overflowing with joy and happiness today, in fact, she felt SO good that she just couldn't stop giggling.  She sat up in a chair for about 6 hours straight (between walks in the hall, of course).

Bethany had lots of visitors today and was very glad to see everyone.

Bethany and I would like to thank Mary's mother, Rhoda, for taking care of the children so that Scott and Mary could come to Indianapolis and change our lives.  We appreciate this very much.  Thank you, Rhoda.

I really enjoyed getting to know Scott.  What a great new friend to have!
Thank you, Scott for all you have done for Bethany and I.  Thank you for supporting Mary's decision and for caring for her while she was recovering.

Thank you to ALL of our family and friends for your prayers.  I know that there are people praying that we have never met.  Thank you for your prayers also.  We appreciate them very much.

Thank you to the church for the meals.  They're awesome!

Sincerely,
Tom Eckert
