Bethany visited the Dr today and everything is going well.

Yesterday, Judy (our sister-in-law) took Bethany and Mary to Walmart for their first post-op shopping trip.  Then they were able to surprise Braedon by picking him up (he thought I would get him).  In the evening, the ladies took their first walk up the block and back.

Mary is scheduled to fly home today.  We're going to miss her, but I'm sure that her family will be glad to have her home.

We are so thankful to Mary and Scott for their sacrifice.  It means very much to us and putting adequate words to our thanks is impossible.  It doesn't matter how we try to say thanks, the word seem hollow and insufficient compared to their gift.  I'm convinced that the only way we can express thanks is to live life paying forward into people's lives around us.  Even that seems inadequate.

Please join me in praying that God will bless Scott and Mary with the blessing that they most need in their lives (whatever that may be).

That said, Thank you, Mary for your gift.  Thank you, Scott, for supporting Mary during this time, even when you might have wondered if it was the right thing.  You are both wonderful friends.

With a heart full of gratitude,
Tom Eckert
