Bethany had a pretty good day today (Friday).  Her fever broke Thursday evening and she was able to get a very good night's sleep and she awoke with her normal optimistic perspective.  I worked from the hospital room today and spent the entire day with her.  I think it was good for both of us.  When I picked up Braedon this evening, we got a pizza and we had a pizza party with his mommy in the hospital room.  I also took her laptop to her and she caught up a bit on facebook.  She may be posting a blog entry tomorrow on her blog (http://bethanysblog.bestchoicewebsolutions.com).
It appears that the cause of the fever Thursday evening was a small piece of the infection which broke off the heart valve and lodged in the spleen.  We are forever grateful that it went to the spleen instead of the brain.  There is a fairly significant risk of stroking in this fashion, however since they have added another antibiotic to fight the infection, I'm hoping that this reduces this risk a bit.
