Update 1/27/2011

Dear Family and Friends,

This evening when Braedon and I arrived at the hospital, we found Bethany crying.  After nearly 6 days without a fever, she had developed another high fever.  The Dr had also reported to her today that her blood cultures came back positive (which is not good because that means she still has active infection in her blood) and it's likely that the fever is due to this infection. Bethany was quite discouraged tonight.  Braedon and I cheered her up as much as we could, however I found it difficult this evening too.  The pace I've been keeping is apparently catching up to me.  I think I need to take some time off work  tomorrow and spend some significant time with Bethany to see if we can boost her spirits again.

Bethany has asked that you will pray for the protection of her new kidney (that it won't get infected) and for the success of the heart surgery (which will happen next week barring any complications that may delay it).  Bethany has also requested that you pray that God will help her be strong emotionally.

Braedon is feeling quite stressed by all of this too.  Please pray that God will give him peace through the upheaval in our routines.

Thank you for your prayers.  May God be glorified through our weakness.
