Do we have a dance class???

For tomorrow, Wednesday, May 9, at 6:30, do we have a dance group? Is Larry coming? What kind of financial arrangements have you worked out with him?  Do we have 8 people? We are willing to continue the class if we have a class. Please advise. Thank you! Marvin

Hi, Ellen and Marv.  If we get 8 people and have a viable class, then I am willing to write a $60 check for May 9, 16, 23, and 30.  If we do not have a viable class, then I will pay Larry $15 cash for tomorrow’s lesson only.  

I think that the following classmates will be present:  you two, me, Ken, Ronni, Susan.  Jim is having surgery.  Bob will try to come.   We can’t count Bob as a regular; however, Jim probably will be a regular.  Perhaps Larry will do the class if you two, me, Ken, Ronni, Susan, Jim (hereafter) commit--  which would give Larry, usually,  seven students and sometimes eight.     

We can consider June lessons if May works out.

There is no class Wednesday, 5/16; next is 5/23.

Larry's introduction last Wednesday, I thought, went well with new Rumba steps. Our challenge is recruitment to insure that we have 6 to 8 participants week to week, given our variable personal schedules and diverse interests. Ellen Schwartz and I will be in communication with Liz Vaisber, the point of contact re: Beth Am community activity promotions. Nevertheless, it will depend on each of us to be agents of promotion if we wish to keep our dance class alive.

No dancing May 9th. Our new teacher, Larry, has a previous commitment. He wants 8 students each time or money from 8 students. He like us and everyone liked him! He accepted $15 from each of six students that night. Susan took him home. He took Uber to Beth Am for $18. Can anyone provide him transportation?  He will agree to teach us two more lessons, May 16 and May 23 as we try our hardest to get more students. If we can't, I assume he will pass on being our teacher. Ellen and Ken are working on publicity. We appreciate any ideas or help. Larry does not seem to be flexible for those of us with highly variable calendars. He wants commitment and $. Thank you! Ellen
