Hello interested parties!

Until such time as we either recruit a new dance instructor or combine/relocate our class with another dance venue, our class is cancelled re: Beth Am Social Hall usage. I'm assured that we may reactivate our scheduled time and space with little risk of being preempted by another Beth Am hosted activity.

At Bob Alper's recommendation of this past Spring, I've left a message for Mark Scolieri re: his interest in teaching our class. If i recall correctly, Mark had expressed interest via his acquaintance with Bill and Bob. Feel free to contact Mark as well at 408-406-5617. If  he is willing to take on the responsibility given our low/fluctuating numbers of participants, we may yet  have a Phoenix moment. If not, we may pursue combining with another dance tribe, perhaps at the JCC, as Sandy has suggested. Avenidas Senior Center at Cubberly is also a possibility.

Keep on dancing!

Ken

In the meantime, Phil Mast teaches drop-in lessons for $10 from 6:45 to 8:30 on Wednesdays.  He repeats the same dance 3 times in successive weeks before going on to the next one.  Tomorrow's is the second week for rumba-plus-bolero (bolero is a slow, elegant variant of rumba):
