Dear Beth El Kevah Members,
I wanted to let you all know that we will be starting up next year's Kevah group on Sunday, September 9th at 7:30 p.m. (Please come at 7:15 for socializing). This is the second Sunday of the month and thus is the same day of the month as we have been meeting over the past two years. It also confirms what most of you said works best for you on the Doodle poll I sent out. We know this is the day the Beth El Shabbaton ends (please register for that too--all are welcome!) and it may be hard for some to make it that particular Sunday, but we decided it was best to start then and have an opportunity to focus on the high holidays as we begin a New Year together.
Rabbi Dorothy Richman will lead our year-long class/study group (Rabbi Margie Jacobs will be a substitute teacher when needed) and is looking closely at the information gathered from the Survey Monkey that Keren sent out (thanks to all of you who responded). Dorothy will incorporate your comments into next year's class /study group and will be in communication with us later in the summer with a detailed description and the focus for the year.
We hope to add additional people to the group in the fall so please invite your friends, colleagues and others you think will be interested in joining us. New participants are welcome to sit in on the first class before deciding to join. Hopefully we will have a full group in September or October at the latest so we will be a cohesive group through the entire year.
I wish you all a very good summer and look forward to connecting and learning with you all again in the fall.
Warmly,
Elizabeth
