Rabbi Yoel Kahn at Congregation Beth El referred this woman to me. She is looking for work and needs some interview clothes. I thought I would send this request with her detailed size and other information below. Even if you do not have clothes in her size, perhaps you know of someone who is ready to hand down some clothes in that size. Please let me know if you have any leads.

Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you so much for offering to help.
I am looking for a new job and really need both interview clothes and a few outfits for after I get a job. I know that I don't need to explain but I would feel better if I did, so here it goes. Even when I was employed, my budget was tight so I didn't have a lot of reserve when I lost my job. The job I had was business casual but on the more casual side. I also gained a few sizes over the last couple of years so none of the more formal clothes that I have fit me anymore.
I'm 5'3 145 lbs
What I need is size 8-10 pants/skirt although I really prefer pants. I wear a short but can shorten if necessary
Top is large - (size 10-12), I'm on the busty side and have wide shoulders
Shoe size 9 (have bad feet, can't wear heals but really need something that I can wear with a skirt and/or slacks)
For an interview, a suit would be most appropriate. A nice conservative black slacks/jacket would be ideal.
For day to day, business casual. Slacks or khaki pants and nice tops, either button up, dressy turtle necks, cardigans, shells, etc.
A brief case or purse would be on my wish list but I would not call a need.
I bought a matching skirt and jacket that is brown/beige/black pattern that is something between a plaid and tweed. It's an ok outfit. I got them for a good price and they will do the job if I got an interview tomorrow but I don't have a decent shirt to wear under. A black or brown shell would be perfect.
I hate to be picky but I really prefer natural fibers. I can't wear nylon at all, it actually makes my skin crawl and burn. A small percent of polyester is ok but is more uncomfortable in a shirt.
I prefer dark colors. They seem to look better and last longer because I can't stain them.
:-)
I have a car and can pick up anywhere in the area.
Thanks a lot Elizabeth! I really appreciate it!
Regards,
Carra

Dear Elizabeth:
THanks so much for offering to help Carra Schiff with her interview wardrobe as she tries to get back on her feet. Carra's # is
510-847-8322; phone/ text is the best way to reach her. I sent her a text asking for her email of choice but haven't heard back.
Carra - if you get this, can you please contact Elizabeth directly?
Shabbat shalom to all!
