👋 Welcome to the Soma App Closed Testing Tutorial (Google Groups)
Hi everyone! 👋 Thanks for joining the Soma closed test group. Below are easy steps to opt in and start testing the app on Google Play. Please follow them carefully:
✅ Step 1 — Join the Google Group (If you are reading this, you have already joined)
Make sure you are a member of this Google Group — only members can access the testing link. If you haven’t joined yet, click “Join group” at the top of the page.
✅ Step 2 — Receive the Opt-In Link
Once the developer publishes a closed test track in the Google Play Console, you’ll get a special opt-in link from the admin. This link lets you join the closed test and install the app.
✅ Step 3 — Opt In on Your Android Device

Open the opt-in link on your phone (signed in with your Google account).

Tap “Become a tester” when prompted.

After opting in, the app will appear in the Play Store for download/installation.
✅ Step 4 — Install & Test the App
Once you’re opted in:
➡️ Open the link in Google Play
➡️ Tap Install / Update
Now you have access to the closed testing version! 🚀
⚠️ Notes & Good to Know
📍 Only users added to the group or tester list can opt in — otherwise the link won’t work.
📍 You must stay opted in for the required testing period (e.g., 14 days for developer publishing criteria).
📍 You will receive updates automatically as the developer publishes new builds.
