Hello again BetaPsichers!

Hope that everyone is now coping with University life, now that it has already been a month since we all started Time flies! It has already been a month since the start of this academic year! It was quite a busy month for BetaPsi, a month which featured Freshers' Week, the 'Living with Schizophrenia' debate, and 'SSS-Living with Dyslexia'. The executive team was quite busy planning upcoming events; events which will make everyone's academic year a one to remember...

-------------------------------------------------------

SSS: Living With Dyslexia

This year's first Student Staff Seminar really did get things rolling! Dr. Ruth Falzon was accompanied by Martha, an 11 year old girl. Those present expanded their knowledge about Dyslexia, in a rather unorthodox fashion. Martha shared her experience of how she has, and still is, coping with Dyslexia, both in her social life and also in her academic life. She presented to us all the same presentation she did for her classmates, to give them a better insight on Dyslexia. We were all astonished by the intelligence of this girl, and the strength she demonstrates to stand up for herself, and to lead a normal life, no matter what difficulties she has to endure. Dyslexia is the most common learning difficulty and most recognized reading disorder.

Stay tuned, more student staff seminars, with very intriguing topics, await in the months to come!

----------------------------------------------------

November is one of the biggest months for BetaPsi, and it has finally arrived! I'm sure that you're all excited as much as we are!
