Sex Education for Parents
Workshop synopsis:
The workshop will explore sexual health and how best we can teach our children about their sexual development and relationships. Theory and practical tips will be discussed, giving enough space to explore any questions that parents might have. These questions will be brought forward anonymously to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to clarify any dilemmas.
Speaker:
Matthew Bartolo is a counsellor specialising in Sex and relationships. His background is in both psychology (B.Psy (Hons)) and education (PGCE - PSD) and hence this workshop brings together his expertise and experience in both prevention and treatment of sexual health. Bartolo has been working with teenagers since he was a teenager himself. He has worked with a lot of different organisations, from which he has learnt a lot about life's challenges and how different people cope. He has worked with students in private and state schools; asylum seekers; couples; addicts; children in homes; juvenile prisoners; juvenile sex offenders; amongst others. He is also a member of the College for Sex and Relationship Therapies.

Reconciling Work and Family Life
2014 is the European year dedicated to the reconciliation of work and family life. YEL together with ESO, GHSL and KNZ will be conducting a seminar with the purpose of creating a discussion on this theme on campus from a legal, social and economic point of view.
