Good Morning GCR,

I hope this email finds everyone well. For the last two month I have not receive any chapter/states’ community service tracking spreadsheet, so there is no information to report in the upcoming newsletter. This is a reminder for the National Awareness Initiative’s for the month of May. Your chapter is encouraged to attend the local community service initiatives. Please see the list below of a couple of National Initiative’s.

Relay for Life (check your local listings)

Lupus (SC and GA contact me for more info)

Asthma

Arthritis

Cystic Fibrosis

Hepatitis

Our The community service project during the upcoming Spring GCR Regional Conference will a "Beach Sweep.” Please dress appropriately, wearing an Iota T-shirt/sweetheart T-shirt to advertise our Fraternity to the community during the community service project.

Date: Friday, May 16, 2014

Time: 9:00 am -12:00 pm

Place: Starting at the Plaza Ocean Club Hotel (640 North Atlantic Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118)

Most of the trash we will be collecting will be small, we will use small plastic bags, such as grocery store bags to collect the trash. Brothers and sweethearts will be given two bags each, one for trash and one for recycling.  As brothers and sweethearts pick up trash, along the beach, they will empty their trash into the blue bins along the beach and put the recyclables in the yellow bins.

We are looking for everyone's support to make this a successful "Beach Sweep."

Local updates on each chapter(s) and states overall community service with be listed in the next month’s newsletter.

It highly encouraged that all States/Chapter’s submit the attached Community Service Spreadsheet by the 5th of every month. This information will help the region accurately track your community service hours. Again please send the 5th of each month to Bro. Ellison (jeej...@gmail.com).

Make sure to update all community service hours in the database to see which region/state/chapter is leading the race before GCR Regionals in May, the deadline is approaching.

In order to better assist you with this is an attachment below

Thanks for assisting in these efforts to better our frat!
