This is an update and review email regarding the Beta Chi Reunion.

As you may know, Beta Chi was spun off from Sigma Nu 50 years ago.  To mark this monumental event, we are having a once in a lifetime event- a Beta Chi Reunion on Saturday, October 19, 2013 in the main dining room of the Stanford Faculty Club from 6pm to 11pm.

 Invited to the event are Beta Chis from 1962 through 1972 and Synergy House members from 1972 to1989 when Beta Chi was rendered uninhabitable due to the 1989 quake.

We are asking those planning to attend the Reunion to send a check for $50/person towards our deposit at the Faculty Club. This charge represents approximately half or what our final per-person dinner bill will be (estimated to be between $100 and $120 depending on how many attend). Once we know the exact total,  you will get a request for the remainder some time before the dinner.

Dinner will include hors d’oeuvres; salad; a fish, meat, or vegetarian main course; desert; and two glasses of wine. Not included are pre- and post-dinner drinks from a cash bar we will maintain, and any extra wine you might want to buy (good selections at reasonable prices) from the same source.

We also have to tell the Club our dinner choices in advance, which means we will contact those who are coming about dinner choices as the Reunion approaches. Since dinners are  determined in advance we cannot accommodate walk-ins. So RSVP with your check to this e-mail as soon as you can.

I have been unable to contact Doug Ross. I have tried many times without success. I send emails but get no response or the info address for his business doesn't work. He is one of many that have proven very frustrating to track down. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I am coming, for sure.  Want to see you again after all these years, reminisce about way back then....and, of course, the Mardi Gras trip!  Amazing how looking at some of the pics on the website just brings it all back.  Didn't see Doug's name on the list of attendees -- you track him down and email him to come?  He owns a big construction company in the Bay Area, I think.  And, what about Colin Bruce?
