- We participated in a brain storming session today at the Yad Eliyahu building.  It was mainly about people involved in the project meeting each other, and discussions of brand and mission for the building.   Michael Vole and later Asaf Zamir were there from the city.  Folks form Keren Reality - who will own the building come January - were also in attendance.    From our side, we brought Jacob, Roman, and Nitzan O-Share who we met through Tami.   It looks like this place could develop into a branch of the workshop - probably not our main campus, but a branch.

- I met with Jay Shultz of TLV Internationals in the afternoon.  He's got a strong network of subscribers, venues, and ventures.  He loved the idea, and wants to co-brand some workshops for English speakers with us.  I think it's a good idea for us to do some work with him.   The first idea that grabbed him - "drink and draw" - drink cheap beer and a draw a live model.  He suggested doing it in an art gallery, and can make that connection.   He's also interested in more 'serious' workshops.

-The bike maintenance class happens next Friday.  We have good Facebook exposure, but only 4 signups to the class.  Please got to the event and invite your friends.

Lev, thanks for the updates.

I must tell you I don't love the idea of 'drink and draw' so much, sounds like the name came before the idea.

Nizan, welcome aboard.

And yes, please invite your friends to the FB event.
Currently there are only 60 'invited', it can easily grow up to 1000, with a small effort of each group member.

The idea for "Drink and Draw" comes right from a weekly event that 3rd Ward does in Brooklyn - https://mediummixer.3rdward.com/events

They have two nude models - one male, one female.  Folks come with their pencils, brushes, etc, and draw.
It's been one of the mainstays of their workshop.

I'm debating as to how Tel Aviv would react to an event involving a nude model.  And would it be worthwhile to do with a clothed one?  (Drawing nudes is a normal stage of practice in learning to draw human figures.)

Hi folks,

I feel like the "draw" aspect might be escaping the craft brand that is important to build at this time.

What about a jewelry making "drink and trink" if you wanna go the more fun and popular route for a bit?

Drawing nudes takes place in Tel Aviv on a regular basis (in several places), so the public will react positively, no doubt.
It's the combination of drink and draw which I don't like, it sounds cheap and if we are trying too hard to be popular.
and yes, it's not exactly craft.

Even though i like the idea and it sounds like a lot of fun, I generally agree with Alina.
It's sounds cheap and I wouldn't want to have our reputation recognized with this idea.

Three votes against, and none for.
Sounds like we should drop the idea.
