Senior Accountant - Auditing
Duties :
Responsible for Investment Accounting: record,
reconcile, and analyze investment activity.
Prepare investment reports and analyses.
Maintain investment accounting policies and procedures.
Develop a streamlined investment accounting process.
Maintain investment report database.
Financial Reporting and Analysis - develop/prepare
financial statements, cash flow reports, and ad hoc analytical
reports as assigned.
Coordinate the preparation of the audit work papers.
Streamline/automate standard reports.
Policies, procedures, and process documentation -
implement and coordinate the documentation of the department's
policies, procedures, and processes following using a standard
process model.
Implement accounting procedures by researching and
interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
Metrics, Operational reporting, and analysis - develop
and prepare metrics and summary operational reports for all
functional areas.
Project support - lead and/or support projects including
a lockbox implementation and other projects to improve business
processes.
Qualifications :
Demonstrated knowledge of advanced computer and
technical skills including accounting systems, MS Excel, and
Access (experience with Solomon Accounting, FRX, and Crystal
Reports a plus).
Must be a seasoned professional with extensive
accounting and financial reporting experience.
Ability to demonstrate advanced working knowledge of
generally accepted accounting principles.
Knowledge of accounting for investments including
alternative investments; advanced financial reporting, analysis,
data management, and modeling skills.
Excellent in problem solving, organization and
interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of improving business processes
using initiative, creativity, and teamwork.
Ability to lead and handle multiple projects at once and
work in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelors Degree in business or accounting preferred (CPA
designation preferred).
Continued employment contingent upon completion of
satisfactory background investigation.
