I haven't played GRID autosport, but pretty much every sim racer now has a racing line feature you can turn on that will show you the ideal line and they're often colour-coded to show when you should be braking, when you should be coasting, when you should be getting back on the power etc. They can be a really great way to understand the logic to it all and giving you the feel for the flow of driving a good line. Chuck that on, maybe kick on some driving assists in order to allow you focus on the line etc, gradually wean yourself of those and get a feel for the other aspects, blah blah blah.
