to A new master planned city in Nepal
NCDC will target three distinct customer segments.

The smallest segment of the market is people who are happily and
permanently settled outside of Nepal, mostly in developed countries
and who have very little incentive to make the move back to Nepal.
Even though a very strong sense of nostalgia and longing “to go back
home” lingers in the minds of this segment, current circumstances
(job, family and other obligations) make this just a dream. For many
people, retirement from employment presents an opportunity to turn
this dream into reality. This reverse migrants group is NCDC's
possible market segment. When political and other situations in Nepal
become more favourable, we hope the number of people in this segment
will also increase significantly. For now, this is the company's
smallest customer segment.

The second market segment is people currently living in the capital
valley of Nepal, who are recent migrants and do not have much problem
moving to another city for better accommodation or employment
opportunities. One could safely group about half of the valley
residents (500,000 individuals) as such recently arrived population.
This segment is also equally attractive because of the “push factor”
created by the existing problems of living in the capital valley
(drinking water shortage, traffic congestion, pollution of all kinds,
etc).

The largest market segment that NCDC will focus on is the Nepali
migrant worker population which earns foreign currency all over the
world, and wishes to return to Nepal to live a comfortable life.
Nepal's remittance inflow is currently growing at 10% a year with more
than 1 million Nepalis working in countries like Qatar, Saudi Arabia,
etc. This segment is especially attractive since most of the workers
will return to Nepal at the end of their contracts as opportunity of
permanent settlement in these countries are almost non-existent.
