Poorly Made, Not For Exposed Outdoor Use

First, the manufacturing company of this furniture is not La-Z-Boy. Another renown American company has lent its name to a product for short term gain - I don't understand this business practice. This furniture is manufactured in China, it is poorly made and will not stand the test of time. It was difficult to assemble with poor parts alignment and sizing (i.e. the plastic caps do not fit on the exposed bolts and nuts and just fall off). The glass top just sits on top of the table, it is secured by gravity; if the table is blown over it will detach and likely break. The wicker on one of chairs was broken and has failed on two additional chairs to the larger matching 7 piece table set that we also purchased. The seat cushions are not tied or otherwise fasten to the chairs and blow off during storms. The service company for this furniture is responsive and they are quick to replace damage parts, but their good service cannot resolve poorly made merchandise. In the short time we have owned our set rust has appeared on the bolts; the instructions to the table actually say not to leave the furniture out in cold rainy weather as corrosion will result. In short, this is an attractive set with a good name and a moderate price that is meant to sell over the internet; it will likely last a few seasons and have to be replaced depending on how it is used. If it is in an enclosed sun room or porch, it will likely last more than a few years. I would not purchase this product again and it has altered the way I will purchase products in the future.

Very happy with this purchase

We live in a high-rise and although our balcony is larger than most, we still don't have a lot of room for furniture. This set is perfect for our space and is of very good quality for the price. I have no mechanical skills, yet was able to put it together myself with little trouble (well....after I remembered I wasn't supposed to tighten the bolts as I put them on, but to leave them loose until they were all in... I suspect that may have been the problem for the other reviewer who said he/she had alignment and wobbliness issues). I also am *so* happy the chairs both swivel and rock. Woohoo! My only complaint is that the cushions don't tie to the chairs. That means we can't leave the cushions outside, but have to bring them in with us each time we come indoors - else some neighbor(s) down the block would almost certainly end up enjoying them instead of us (the trade-off for the view from the 34th floor - killer winds).
