Hello BEST world,
We are on our way to organise and celebrate the 9th edition of EBEC Final in August in the beautiful city of Brno.
Between 31st July -8th of August, around 200 young people will gather in Brno to enjoy the czech people and culture as well as having the opportunity to see great engineers competing to win the last round of EBEC!
EBEC Final has always been a unique experience for each person involved in it: from a participant to an organiser. Thus there is a possibility for you to enjoy the EBEC Final event by being present there as a EBEC Taste participant. This is a great opportunity for a BEST member who wants to learn how the aspects of EBEC Final are managed but also witnessing the most creative solutions participants present for various tasks during competition days.
Are you a fresh BEST member? This may be a perfect opportunity to understand what EBEC spirit really is, how EBEC project really works and why thousands of students apply for becoming part of EBEC each year!
=====What is Taste EBEC?=====
Taste EBEC is an opportunity for all the curious and passionate people about competitions in BEST. This is a great chance for you to see the results of a whole year of work and involvement of more than 6500 people around Europe. We are ready to share our knowledge and experiences with you.
During the event you will be able to check out the competition places where Case Study and Team Design categories will take place, participate in some sessions, meet your favourite teams during social activities and get to know participants and people involved in the project development .
At the end you will be able to attend the Official Closing day activities (including Job Fair and Closing ceremony) where the final results of the EBEC Project will be announced. This way we try to give you a bite of EBEC so next year you can share it around Europe!
And also please keep in mind that Taste EBEC is not a leisure event, it’s an opportunity to learn and experience new things while helping in organising, sharing your current experiences and meeting new people. So stay flexible and open-minded!
==== Who will Taste EBEC?====
It is a great opportunity for every single one of you to taste the real Final by being present as a Taste EBEC participant. This possibility will help you to understand what the event and project are about, try it, and afterwards spread the EBEC spirit all around Europe! Whether you are experienced or just curious about the project and want to discover more, you are more than welcome to join us
==== Where and when Taste EBEC? ====
The timeframe of Taste EBEC is following:
August 4 – Arrival Day
August 5 and 6 – Competition Days
August 7 – Official Closing
August 8 – Departure Day
Accommodation and food will be provided by the organisers alongside the participants and the rest of the organisers.
And I’m sure by now everyone already know that to Taste EBEC, one needs to head to Brno, Czech Republic
==== Fee to Taste EBEC? ====
We are asking for a fee of 60€ from all the Tasters, so we can manage all of you at the Final event and make sure that everything will be covered.
==== How to apply to Taste EBEC? ====
Send your motivation letter until June 22, 23:00 CEST to elias....@BEST.eu.org & daniel...@BEST.eu.org.
Please put <[Taste EBEC] name of applicant, LBG> as the subject of your e-mail.
In your application letter, we would kindly ask you to cover the areas mentioned below; which will be the main points to select EBEC Taste participants:
- Motivation towards EBEC Final and EBEC Project
- Your experience in EBEC Project (if any)
- Your vision on future of EBEC Project and your position in it
After, you can chill out a bit and wait for the announcement ;) It should arrive by the end of June!
