Dear BESTies,
As we have applied to host several internal events without success, we decided to organise our own leisure event and invite you to visit us in Iceland for an unforgettable weekend.
OBG Reykjavík would like to invite you to experience our beautiful city Reykjavik in Iceland for a weekend this summer! We’ll have prepared a schedule with activities, such as sightseeing, geothermal baths, icelandic traditional food, hike up mountain Esja and many more. In the afternoon we’ll get to know each other even better through parties, pub crawl and games. We’ll teach you how to be a Viking.
During your stay in Iceland you will
- Taste rotten shark and the icelandic alcohol, black death
- Swim in icelandic geothermal pools beneath the northern lights.
- Try our local ice cream.
- Hike up the mountain Esja and experience the beautiful view over Reykjavik from the top
- Go pub crawling in Reykjavik city centre
- Visit the University of Iceland
- Meet our amazing members
The event schedule takes place from the 21st to 23rd of July. Participants will be sleeping in sports hall at university campus, which is located in short walking distance from Reykjavik city center and all main bus stops.
The accommodation is available a little longer than the weekend (from the 19.-24.July) so feel free to come earlier and leave later at your own expense. We’ll provide you with free accommodation but no meals or events, just a roof over your head. However, we’ll be happy to give you ideas what to do and what to see :)
So what are you waiting for. We can’t think of anything more perfect than a weekend with amazing besties exploring the land of fire and ice with locals. This way, you will enjoy the BEST weekend of the summer. Maybe you’ve always dreamt of visiting Iceland? Dreamt of the northern lights? Heard about our rotten shark?
