We are looking for Appian Lead Product Engineer in Tampa, FL - Onsite

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

·        Serve as the technical owner of the Appian platform - including environment strategy, configuration, performance, and stability.

·        Plan and execute Appian upgrades, patches, capacity scaling, and environment refreshes.

·        Define and enforce architecture standards, best practices, design patterns, and governance for Appian implementations.

·        Collaborate with business, delivery teams, infrastructure, information security, and external vendors to ensure reliable and compliant platform operations.

·        Review solution designs and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and performance requirements.

·        Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high priority incidents.

·        Support DevOps/CI-CD pipelines for Appian deployments and promote modern automation practices.

·        Maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

·        8+ years of hands-on Appian experience, including architecture and environment management.

·        Strong understanding of Appian components: Records, Data Fabric/CDTs, SAIL, process models, integrations, plug-ins, RPA.

·        Proven experience with upgrades, performance tuning, and environment configuration (Appian Cloud and self managed).

·        Solid knowledge of integration patterns (REST/SOAP, queues, JDBC).

·        Experience working with security teams on SSO, SAML/OIDC, RBAC, and platform hardening.

·        Experience with identity and access management and platform security.

·        Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

 

·        Appian Lead Developer certification.

·        Experience working with Appian Support and vendor partners.

·        Background in financial services or other regulated environments.

·        Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring tools (Splunk/ELK/AppDynamics, etc.).
