Programmer Analyst – Application Administrator

Location: Saint Louis, MO

Experience Required: 7 Years

Position Overview

KI Infosystems is seeking a Programmer Analyst – Application Administrator to support a portfolio of operational applications used by our operations department. This role combines application support, enhancement development, and system integration work. The selected candidate will work closely with senior team members to learn critical systems, support end users, document processes, and ensure continuity of support across the team.

Key Responsibilities

Support and enhance operational applications, including IBM Maximo (EAM), custom Java/Spring Boot integrations, and vendor applications such as Telog, GraniteNet, and DataSplice.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in collaboration with business users.
Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, data interfaces, and system workflows.
Implement application configuration changes and minor enhancements.
Participate in application upgrades, patches, testing, and maintenance activities.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including system workflows, configurations, and support procedures.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
Follow established ITIL-based support and change management processes.
Participate in an on-call support rotation (approximately 1 week out of every 6 weeks).

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
4–7 years of experience in application development, application support, or a similar technical role.
Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working directly with end users to diagnose and resolve application issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with IBM Maximo or other Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.
Experience with APIs, system integrations, middleware, or data interfaces.
Experience supporting multiple business-critical applications in a production environment.
Familiarity with utility, infrastructure, or public sector organizations.
Exposure to RedHat OpenShift environments.

Additional Information

This role includes structured knowledge transfer and mentorship from senior team members. No prior experience with wastewater operations or the listed applications is required. Candidates should be comfortable learning new systems quickly, working with evolving documentation, and supporting critical business applications in a collaborative environment.
