Job Title      :   Application Developer .NET and MS SQL

 

Location      :     Olympia, WA 

 

Client           :    State client  Olympia, WA  

 

Duration      :    3+ Months Contract  

 

 

The purpose of this solicitation is to acquire the services of an Application Developer (Contractor) for the Choice Transfer System (CTS). CTS is a comprehensive, web based application that’s allows school districts to transfer, track and review the status of students transferring students. The application is integrated with the OSPI Application and Network environment. The primary enhancements needed for this system are:

1) To develop and implement a web portal which would allow parents to directly submit necessary Choice Transfer forms.

2) Create an automated workflow to process notifications and approvals throughout the system.

3) Make the necessary modifications to the Choice Transfer application that are currently causing issues within the system.

This position will work with OSPI permanent staff who help to oversee design, testing, implementation, and operations. Permanent staff include a Project Manager, Director of Alternative Learning, School Choice and Enrollment Options Manager, and a Projects Management Director.

The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction is located in the Old Capital Building at 600 Washington Street SE, Olympia, WA 98501



Work Requirements

Contractors engaged in this contract will be expected to work within the .NET framework and MS-SQL for application development and:

• Provide technical application design, development, testing and implementation services

Be available during core business hours at the workstation assigned by OSPI at the OSPI Application Development work site. Resources associated with this contract are expected to work on-site.

• Participate in weekly work prioritization meetings.

• Complete accurate estimates for all deliverables assigned.

• Complete all development for all deliverables assigned.

• Develop test plans for deliverables as directed.

• Execute test plans as directed.

• Document all development work in accordance with the defined work management process.

• Provide technical support to the OSPI Customer Support Team as directed.Deliverables

• Attend daily or weekly meetings with Project Manager, OSPI IT Staff and Business Stakeholders.

• Contractors are expected to work within the tools provided by OSPI at the OSPI Olympia location

(1) MS SQL Server

(2) Entity Framework

(3) ASP .NET 4.0 and above

(4) Object Oriented Programming in C#

(5) TFS and Visual Studio 2010 and above

(6) JavaScript
