Dear Jane,

Protect the Grand Canyon and Colorado River from Uranium Mining
Help protect the Grand Canyon and Colorado River!

Some Representatives in Congress want to start huge uranium mining operations beside the Grand Canyon and just upstream of Lake Mead, Southern Nevada's drinking water source.

We need to protect the Grand Canyon, as well as Southern Nevada's 2 million residents and 40 million annual visitors (our state's primary economic engine),  from toxic and radioactive pollution.

Tell your Senators and congressional Representative to protect the Grand Canyon and Colorado River from uranium mining.

With your emails we will demonstrate our support for a safe, reliable water supply from the river and show our dedication to keeping huge industrial mining operations away from the Grand Canyon.

Ask your Senators and congressional Representative to support the Interior Department's long-term moratorium on uranium mining on the Colorado River!

Thanks for all you do for the environment and smart public policy,

Jane Feldman, Executive Committee,
Sierra Club - Toiyabe Chapter
