   Our chapter chair, Jean Stoess, announces the Sierra Club's endorsement of Kate Marshall in her run for Congress.

     We encourage all of you to support her campaign. We could expect good things from her in Washington.

We just received word that national Sierra Club has decided to endorse Kate Marshall for CD 2, on the recommendation of the Toiyabe Chapter several weeks ago.

 

According to field director Joe Duffy, the campaign needs canvassers and, secondarily, telephoners. The campaign has set times on weekends for walking at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturdays and 12 noon Sundays. Canvassers can meet at the campaign office at those times and will be given a packet and an area to cover. The campaign can also assign canvassers to areas near their homes, and people can walk at any time in those areas. The campaign would graciously accept $$$ donations, too.

 

Northern NV campaign office: 1380 Greg Street, Suite 233, Sparks. This is the same building in which Harry Reid's office was located last year, but you have to drive around to the back of the building to reach Kate's office. Phone: 775-358-1346.
