I have had mine for a week. So far it is great! Surprisingly quiet and as promised endless hot water. And it is only running when needed. It is also a nice bonus that it is eligible for $750 in tax rebates ($450 local and $300 federal). However, any of those savings are lost to the installation costs. I had read there can be some hassle with the exhaust vent....I had no idea just how much of a hassle installation was going to be. It is definitely something that will require a competent professional...mine required adjusting the height of the water pipes and gas pipe which I expected. However, the vent required a very specific type of installation and parts(not cheap) in order to be up to code then on top of that the gas pipe diameter had to be upgraded from the gas meter to the heater because in order to supply the water heater and furnace, should they be running at the same time, with adequate volume of gas so they wouldn't flame out.
