These are the last pair of boots I ever need to buy! Thank you Belleville boots.

Being a USMC vet I know the value of good boots. I was issued Belleville boots in bootcamp and still have them and although they are showing there age they are still completely waterproof. I wanted a new pair mainly because my original USMC boots are the black ones that require polishing, which has gotten old.

As I am no longer on active duty I don't have to wear USMC approved only footwear, I think these boots are for the Air Force. I just really like the color Sage Green and with a chunk of metal holding my foot together I wanted the 600g THINSULATE Insulation these boots offer. If you are like me the only boots I will buy are Belleville so this is the only pair with full rough side Sage Green leather, steel toe and 600g of insulation. I just think these boots look great!

The rough side out leather is very durable and water, dirt, snow, mud, etc... has just ran off these boots. I have not even had to clean them. The rough side out leather does not need polishing and is remarkably soft, I thought it would have been stiffer and needing broken in but not so. The inside is sewn in a quilted type pattern and just feels great around by feet and upper ankle. The sole is REALLY thick and provides great shock absorption and can also be resoled. I am not a very big guy 5'11 at 160lbs and my foot is actually on the narrow side but I have found I like the wide size. I am a 9.5 in nike sneakers but the 10 is just right for my Belleville boot size. The extra width allows for a heavier winter sock but can also be laced up very, very tightly. I would recommend anyone ordering this boot get a half size bigger and also in the wide size.

I really do love the boots and I am truly sad when I take them off for the day. I was thinking about buying a pair for inside the house, you know house boots. LOL!
