Parents:

We received some very sad news today regarding Omar Hassan, our  4th grader in Melody Sutton's class. Omar, as you know has been undergoing treatment
for leukemia and received a bone marrow transplant this year. He has been battling leukemia for many years now. He lost his fight yesterday morning.

The Hassans are Muslim, and buried their child, as their religion dictates, soon after his passing.

There will be another service at 2 pm today (Sunday) at SBIA -- South Bay Islamic Association -- at 325 North 3rd Street in San Jose.
