I just got a secondary eSIM for my iPhone SE in order to use while on vacation. I use my primary SIM for Whatsapp (about 13GB of data) and do not have a backup of that (no iCloud+). If I switch to the secondary eSIM while traveling, can I securely use my Whatsapp Account that is tied to my primary number? Or will it delete my current Whatsapp and create a new account for the new number?

Is there some way to basically have a different iPhone GUI with separate Apps, like a separate Whatsapp for the secondary number? How would you go about using the eSIM without resetting apps? Or rather: what would trigger an app reset?

Many individuals use WhatsApp on a daily basis, and it is one of the most widely used messaging apps today. Furthermore, many iOS users have two SIM cards in their iPhones, and in most cases, one is used for business and the other is used for friends and family. Below we will mention some of the best ways you can use two WhatsApp accounts on your iPhone.

Hello - I am planning on being active on Whatsapp in two different countries (on separate continents) and am considering getting a dual sim card to best manage the situation. The following are questions I had: is it possible to switch WhatsApp accounts between two sim cards? If switching between sim cards does not work, is it feasible to simply change phone numbers every time? If none of the aforementioned options would work, what would be the best solution? I appreciate your help.

You can now securely have two WhatsApp accounts on your iPhone without taking the security risk of using third-party apps. Also, WhatsApp is constantly evolving. Meta recently rolled out the WhatsApp call link feature to schedule video and voice calls for a group. Check out more such interesting tips about Whatsapp below.

I also have this problem. I have iphone 11 with updated iOS 16.3.1 and latest version of Whatsap. But WhatsApp support offered no solution except to update my IOS and app.Very disappointed in their response! This is also making my business extra difficult and time consuming to operate.

Same here, I am using an iphone 12 with ios 16.0 and the latest version of WA Business. I can create the quick reply, hit save and I see it added to the list of quick replies, but when I go back to the chats it is not available. Go back to the list of quick replies and it is gone. I have tried ten times to create replies and the same happens. Tried reinstalling whatsapp and it keeps happening. Please help!! This is a huge deal for our business, we need them working!

Whats the issue with Signal?
I am using it with dual SIM and it lets me select SIM1 or SIM2 or Data(If the other part has Signal, not sure what to call it). It will also remember my choice.
Or do you already have two accounts for Signal and dont want to combine the two?

The option can be accessed via Settings > Arrow next to your name > Add account. However, there's a catch: you need to have both SIM cards active on the same phone. In other words, this means that your smartphone needs to support dual SIM cards.

While the iPhone XS, XS Max, XR and newer models support dual SIMs, these devices have a SIM card tray that only supports one physical SIM card. This means the other line has to be an eSIM, which according to Apple's support page, is currently only offered by M1. The other telcos don't offer the use of an eSIM with an iPhone.

WhatsApp Business is another version of WhatsApp specially catered for businesses. However, individuals without a business can also use the app without problems. It functions like WhatsApp and even has extra features like auto-responding to messages.

Reinstall the whatsapp on your companion phone and whenit asks for phone number skip that and select the elipsys it will give you option to link account. If you enter your companion phone number before this step it will not show you this option ?

WhatsApp is one of the most prominent messaging apps out there and is used by millions worldwide. The amazing thing about WhatsApp is how easy it is to use and the big user base it has. Although there is a big limitation as it only allows one account per user per number. This is not a big issue for Android users as they can install any clone application and use dual WhatsApp. But for iPhone 14 users, it can get a little challenging as there is no easy way to install two WhatsApp on iPhone 14.

In these modern times, most smartphones, including iPhone 14, have dual sim support. Most people use the dual SIM setup to keep their work and personal life separated. This is quite an amazing setup, but for certain apps, such as WhatsApp, it can get a little difficult to set up the dual SIM feature to use. Again, WhatsApp currently does not offer using multiple accounts on one device. But there is a way to use dual WhatsApp on your iPhone 14/Pro/Promax devices.

Bueno, para ayudar a otros respondo la solución que encontré . Instalé whatsapp business desde el app store USA donde ya está activa, pronto la app debiera llegar a otros países, por mientras pueden crearse una cuenta USA y así tener dos whatsapp oficiales

The iCloud backup and having the device backup does duplicate data. Backing up the phone will back up whatsapp, so if you restored to a new phone even without enabling the inbuilt backup your data would be there.

If you enable the whatsapp iCloud backup you are able to restore your data to a new phone, without performing a full iCloud restore. Personally I would keep the in built whatsapp backup enabled and untick it from the complete iPhone backup. I swap my backup often between my two phones using just the built in whatsapp feature, without restoring etc.

Now, there are 2 Whatsapp backup switches to handle, they are both on by default, hence, by default, WhatsApp is an odd and inconvenient outlier since (compared to iCloud Photo library) it literally duplicates the space required if both switches are on, let me explain:

iCloud brings WhatsApp users an easy way to save conversations on their iPhones. In just a few steps, you can back up all of your chats, including photos and other media files to iCloud. Once it's done, you can access and restore these backups to your device when you need them. This may sound simple, but how to back up and restore your Whatsapp? Do you know there's quite a lot of professional WhatsApp transfer software that is specifically designed to help migrate WhatsApp data easily?

In past, users had to use 3rd party dual apps to install and create a copy of WhatsApp in their smartphones to be able to add their second WhatsApp account. Some clever users take advantage of WhatsApp for Business app to use another account in their smartphone. Actually WhatsApp provides a special edition of its app for business which can be installed and used alongside with regular WhatsApp.

Many smartphones companies such as Samsung also provide their users dual app functionality built-in. Users can use this functionality to use 2 WhatsApp accounts in 1 smartphone. We posted an exclusive tutorial about this feature in following article:

With the popularity of dual-SIM phones, many people are curious about using two WhatsApp numbers on the same phone. It can be for personal reasons, managing your work calls more efficiently, and so on.

Many Android phones, including Samsung, Oppo, OnePlus, Realme, Vivo, etc., have a built-in dual or parallel app feature. Once enabled, this feature allows users to use the two versions of the same app, including WhatsApp.

If your Android phone doesn't come preinstalled with the Cloner, dual, or Parallel app feature, you can still run two WhatsApp in one phone. In that case, you have to get assistance from several third-party apps like "Parallel Space."

So, why does WhatsApp keep crashing and how do I repair my WhatsApp if it crashes? In this article, we will offer you some solutions on how to fix Whatsapp closing automatically on iPhone and Android.

In October 2020, WhatsApp rolled out a feature allowing users to mute both individuals and group chats forever. The mute options are "8 hours", "1 week", and "Always". The "Always" option replaced the "1 year" option that was originally part of the settings.[148][149]

WhatsApp uses a customized version of the open standard Extensible messaging and presence protocol (XMPP).[210] Upon installation, it creates a user account using the user's phone number as the username (Jabber ID: [phone number]@s.whatsapp.net).

In January 2020, a digital forensic analysis revealed that the Amazon founder Jeff Bezos received an encrypted message on WhatsApp from the official account of Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The message reportedly contained a malicious file, the receipt of which resulted in Bezos' phone being hacked. The United Nations' special rapporteur David Kaye and Agnes Callamard later confirmed that Jeff Bezos' phone was hacked through WhatsApp, as he was one of the targets of Saudi's hit list of individuals close to The Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.[301]
