Hi Dear,

I have simulated PCM gypsum board in 2 poses in energy plus :CFD simulation and CTF simulation but there are significantly difference between this two result .I would like to know Is it true or my simulation have a problem? On the other words,is this difference usual?
which result is attributable?

Best regards

Hi,

From I/O reference: Phase Change Material is used to describe the temperature dependent material properties that are used in the Conduction Finite Difference solution algorithm. This conduction model is done when the appropriate materials are specified and the Solution Algorithm parameter is set to ConductionFiniteDifference.

So, I think with CTF, the phase change properties are not taken into account. Don't you get any warning about this when you run the model with CTF solution algorithm?

Best,
