Yestarday, we were talking with you about the problem of model exporting from Archicad to Sketch up for it's future export to Energy Plus.
Anyway, I will remind it to you.
Our building is a Multifunction Concert Hall and it has a double curve Bubble shape. Such a shape as I know a problem for simulation for many programs. For example ArchiPhysik can't simulate something like that. So, for this case we simplified it to the simple cube which after was simulated in archiphysic. I don't know is it important to mention or not, but this Bubble was done in Rhino, due to the fact that archicad doesn't work with double curves shapes and after, transfered, as LIBRARY ELEMENT in archicad.
LIBRARY ELEMENT
can't be simulate in archiphysik. This program doesn't work with library elements just with walls, slabs, roofs so on. That's as well a reason, why we did a simple cube out of walls and roof for archiphysik simulation.
So, our problem is. How to export such a shape from archicad to sceth up for it's future simulation in energy plus?
Maybe, we have to do the same, as we have done in archiphysik and make totally new model in sketch up and use a simplified box instead Bubble?
I will be very grateful if you will help us.
Thank you, very much.
