Hey everybody, as many know from the previous email, some residents on Patuxent ave. have issues with our garden. I received a call today from Ms. Rothe that left me a little discombobulated. After my classes I visited two of these residents this afternoon around 530pm to gauge what kind of grievances they were having. Sadly enough, they do not want a garden across the street from their homes (for reasons outlined in the email). Because I did not want to speak for the group and because I couldnt speak to all of the questions they were posing I suggested a meeting this week to deal with the problem. We came up with Thursday @ 7pm at the home of Michelle Rothe who wrote the original email (she lives at 8413 Patuxent). I know we have a number of meetings this week already but I hope a number of us can meet with her and the other disgruntled residents and solve the problem with both parties being happy in the end. I suggest we all read her ema! ! il and come up with some kind of game plan at out meeting on wednesday. Let me know if there are any questions.

Thanks,
Steve Jackson

I think it is CRUCIAL VITAL VERY IMPORTANT etc that we address this. I hope any longtime residents on this listserv will attend the meeting at 8413 Patuxent tonight at 7pm. As a longtime resident I believe that lack of understanding is the key problem here, and possibly lack of trust. Both are important in building a community endeavor.
