Vicky is skilled in evaluating and solving complex planning issues and building credible and trustworthy relationships with City departments, key community stakeholders, constituents and developers to craft successful land use projects that receive unanimous support.

I serve as a project manager, responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion. This encompasses various aspects, such as onboarding new clients, pre-development preparations, day-to-day operations, client relations, and managing invoices. Consequently, I am deeply involved in nearly every facet of Wieni's projects.

Naturally, the specific process varies from project to project. It commences with understanding the client's needs and tailoring our approach accordingly. Thus, the responsibilities of a project manager are exceptionally diverse and comprehensive.

Subsequently, I embarked on a detour in Hasselt, where I assumed the role of a project manager for the economy department, collaborating with local businesses. My responsibilities spanned diverse areas, including marketing, communications, finances, legal matters, as well as the development of digital products tailored to entrepreneurs' needs.

I have a passion for travel, and Cuba is currently at the top of my travel bucket list due to its captivating culture. When I'm on vacation, I strike a balance between planning and spontaneity. I ensure accommodation is booked and do some research on the destination, but I also value the freedom to go with the flow. After all, I aim to enjoy my holidays without turning into the project manager of my own vacation.

The University of Arizona Indigenous Resilience Center will expand its efforts to help tribal communities develop local solutions to climate-related issues thanks to $2 million in funding from the Waverley Street Foundation to support the two-year project "Climate Resilience Through Indigenous Co-Design at the Food, Energy and Water Nexus."

"The Indigenous Resilience Center is a seed that is being watered, a plant that is growing, needed and desired by tribal communities," said Karletta Chief, the project's principal investigator, director of the Indigenous Resilience Center, and a professor and extension specialist in the Department of Environmental Science. "As we grow, I envision us to grow into a center that is connected to and invested in tribal communities, that we become a bridge between the University of Arizona and tribal communities while collaborating with existing Indigenous centers on campus and other tribal programs to be part of the big wheel that is working to support tribal communities."

Money from the Waverley Street Foundation will support several of the center's existing programs, including Indigenous Food, Energy and Water Security and Sovereignty, which aims to support the resilience of Indigenous communities by establishing off-grid, solar-powered water and greenhouse units designed, built and operated by Diné (Navajo) citizens. Each unit will include a pressure-driven nanofiltration system to treat non-potable water and provide water security to approximately 30 families. Vicky Karanikola, project co-investigator, assistant professor of chemical and environmental engineering and head of the KORES Lab, focuses on advancing water and wastewater treatment processes with particular interest on material and process optimization at the water-energy nexus interface.

To begin, I repurposed a craft cart from Michaels that originally housed my December Daily materials. Since I am not in the mood to work on holiday projects, I decided to use this cart for my Project Life materials.

Here is my Project Life cart, organized and ready to be used! I purchased this cart from Michaels last year and it has served me well! I can easily roll the cart to my craft desk when I am ready to work on a project.

My piece was made for 14th Street and I will admit that this street has never been one of my favorites and often I walk around it rather than walk on it. But after many hours spent going back and forth my appreciation grew. Ubiquitous would be the word that comes to mind. In this one long block the diversity of the city is truly represented. From the housing projects on the far east side to the super über rich contingent near the High Line in the west, the ethnic diversity of the population shopping in the cheap stores in the middle and the ultimate community that congregates in Union Square. It is all there. A microcosm of the city writ large.

In that vein, I will say that the deepest and most profound experience I had was the interaction with the middle and lower class people and how open and honest they were in their interactions. They took the time and exposed themselves to the experience far more than the more well-do-to, plugged people did. The older disabled adult from the housing projects begged for more questions , and the black teenagers with hoodies, the icon of fear for many, if you were brave enough to cross over that barrier and ask them if they wanted to participate in an art project, their ear buds came out and they were game like no one else.

Talking about marketing should happen from the first minute of embarking on a project. Having in mind why you are making your film and for which audience will help you avoid a lot of future challenges.
