Hi Soon..
Good to hear from you and funny that you live in Willetton..
I have NO plans on following Scott and Robin... ha ha..I like the grass roots a bit to much I think.. ;-)
Not much chance of the Greens wining Riverton to be honest!! Just want to help get rid of Nahan ;-)
Together with CCWA we were looking at what seats to target and Riverton came up and the Greens didn't have a candidate.. So I got the short straw !!!
Behind the scenes Nahan has been talking of nuclear power for the pilbra and a whole lot of crazy things as he came here from a right wing think tank based in Victoria...
Are you aware that he won last time by about 60 votes, and where he did well was with the Malaysian Vote..
Dr Nyuk Nahan is his wife and this most likely played a major role in not just getting him elected, but also is Colin Barnett giving Mike Nahan the special task of helping to make WA's relationship with Singapore and Malaysia even stronger, broader and closer.
It would be great if I could convince you to help with the Greens campaign in Riverton, even if it is just helping out at one of the voting booths on the day...
I understand that you are pretty busy with everything so if it is not possible than I completely understand, but I am sure you have lots of friends in the area so just keep letting them know they should vote Labor or Greens.. Just anything to get rid of Nahan ;-)
If you feel up to getting involved or have friends that you think may want to get involved, then everyone is welcome to attend a meeting we are having at the home of Thor Kerr

Friday 15th Feb. at 6.30 p.m.
Thanks heaps Soon and look forward to catching up with you in the future..

Hi Marcus. Good to hear from you. Thought I did asked sometime ago if you were going the same way as Scott and Robin, having warmed the same seat you're on with ANAWA. Wink, wink. And guess what.
I have not been involved significantly with anti-Lynas campaign lately other than offering a few odd technical advice when asked. With the general election nearing in Malaysia, we have directed our focus on reducing the majority of the incumbent and to rattle them as much as possible. I'm mired in deep discussion about electoral observations, etc. with the diaspora all over the world in concert with main players in Malaysia to ensure that the bumpy and undulating playing ground is flattened as much as we possibly can do to help.
That meet up with Dave Kerin is only a side opportunity arising from the local Malaysians meeting up with Krish, another old timer Malaysian activist from Melbourne who is hitching a ride with Dave on this trip at the end of month. Only mentioned Dave if anyone else wants to meet up with him. I don't have the energy to fight on the Stop Lynas front, as stopping the incumbent Malaysian regime dead on its track is sufficient to derail Lynas by itself.
I'm a Willetton resident and I hope you kick that bastard Mike Nahan out. Let us know how we can help.

Hi Soon..
How are you doing.. It seems like ages since we have had the chance to catch up...
It has been really busy since the State Government gave approval for the first uranium mine in W.A and we are still waiting to hear on the Federal decision around this... Minister Burke is not planning to give a decision until after the State election, but we feel that it will come just weeks after this...
I have lost touch with the Lynas situation over this time and am sorry that I have not been able to keep on top of things...
I have also been doing alot with the Greens as I have become the Candidate for Riverton in the State election, so alot of door knocking and letter boxing along with meetings..!!! Will be glad when it is over in a few weeks ;-)
Just wanted to let you know that we are having a meeting in Riverton this Friday and as always we are looking for people who would like to get involved in the election, being at voting booths on election day ext..
If you have any contacts around Riverton that would like to get involved and help the Greens out a bit then that would be great..
We are also wanting to hear more on what is peoples local concerns...
Meeting will be at the home of Thor Kerr (with gratitude)
