                Both evenings are free at this stage.If you can set an evening aside,( or other times) that is convenient for friends in Perth, I can work MUA around it. If you have Tuesday or Wednesday evening free, we can have dinner with some of my mates here who has been in the thick of things at this end. Let us know closer to visit.

MUA is a tough nut to crack in terms of the Lynas issue. Non-committal and no response whatsoever.

G'day Cherie. Hope all well. Caught up in the preparations for our crowdfunding work, which we begin this Thursday 31 and which lasts 60 days.

 

I hope its not too late to include me into the schedule of bookings to attend the Conference mate. Is it possible to leave Melbourne early on the 26 and come straight to the Conference and to leave the afternoon of the 28?

 

If it is still OK I have a question Cherie, if you can check with Christie: Krish (Balrama Krishnan his real name), the author of Earthworker Cooperative's original feasibility study and our business plan will be coming over with me (under his own steam); would there be enough room if Krish doubled up in one of the rooms next door with me? Krish is a long-standing activist in this country from Vietnam onwards and he volunteers his time with Earthworker Cooperative; I was hoping to reduce some of our costs. 

 

I understand if that is not possible Cherie, but it is only right to ask.

 

Krish's purpose in coming over is twofold: 1. To meet comrades from MUA around Earthworker with me in order to update comrades and 2. To meet with the Malaysian community around strengthening the movement against the right wing dictatorship in Malaysia. I am working with Krish on this campaign, which is reaching a critical stage in Malaysia!

        Soon had mentioned before on the email thread that a couple of people were coming down from Melbourne  and he will keep us posted.
        Its just an  informal thing. Sometimes, though they mention they are coming, they don't tell you when and only contact you after they get here and ask to meet up.
        The same thing happened with the Bersih rep from Geneva in December. if someone is free we go to meet them. If no one can, then we don't.

1) Not to worry about this meet up with Balrama. We get this type of request every now and then from visitors. You folks created too much ruckus for others not to notice and they only want to rub shoulders with the Perth Bersih family, mahh.

2) Jordan / Raymond, are you answering Chin Huat's tag for that fund raiser thingy in fb? I've no idea what he's on about.

3) I'll set up an event page for the election volunteer registration campaign and probably stick most of the voter information and education stuff in that for easy navigation and quick reference.
