Just 18 months ago, I was working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for 50 weeks of every year. And that does not include the 500-800 hours of overtime I averaged over the last 8 years. I was a Philadelphia Police Radio Communications Dispatcher, and I was earning top pay for my position. I was also coming up to my 10 year anniversary which would mean my pension would be vested. I knew when I hit my 10 years; I had to make a change….
