The next Berlin Art and Historical Society meeting will be held at Berlin Farms, 200 Central Street (Rt. 62) on April 27th at 7:30 pm. Berlin Farms, a New England farmstead circa 1867, is protected by a deeded conservation restriction and has a long history in the Town of Berlin. Once the Bruce homestead, It has been part of two apple orchard businesses, a country store and currently specializes in the care and breeding of endangered barnyard animals. Heritage breeds, some native to the area and some brought by the early settlers are struggling to survive. Berlin Farms is working to conserve historic breeds and genetic diversity in livestock.
There will be a short business meeting preceding the program and light refreshments will be served following. Our meetings
are open to the public. For more information, contact Marsha Johnston at 978 838 7314.
