Subject: Montpelier Emergency Management: Minor Flooding Possible along the North
Branch/Main St
A message from MONTPELIER
The Montpelier Emergency Management Team is closely monitoring an ice jam that has occurred on the Winooski River in the area of Taylor Street, and stretches down to the cemetery corner. As a result, there is a significant rise in the water level of the North Branch by Langdon Street. Cellar bottoms of buildings along Main Street and Langdon are currently or potentially at risk of minor flooding. Please take any necessary precautions to protect property. Do Not enter basements that are already flooded and still have live electrical power.
