Hey Tobias,

Organizing a meetup is actually very simple: the most important thing is finding a location. We met up at co-up the last couple of times, that was really nice. Then step 2 is announcing a date on the mailing list, and step 3 (which might happen in parallel) is asking speakers for topics.

Looking forward to the next meet up.

Chris

Dear compiler meetup group,

It has been very quiet after Marijn Haverbeke has not organized any meetups. I would like to revive them. I am an informatics student at the HU-Berlin. I would like to talk about EuroLLVM 2014 in Edinburgh as well as EuroLLVM 2015 in Berlin (which I will most likely get to organize).
There is also a research topic that I could talk about (new programming model for multithreading preventing data races in C++) if there is interest.
Since I never attended any meetups before and therefore do not know any of the customs I would like someone to help a bit. Also after so much time there has probably been new topics to talk about, so we should find some speakers now.

Regards,
Tobias
