Handoff mit Touch&Travel in Berliner U-Bahn

Hi Cocoaheads,

I stumbled upon something today and I wanted to ask if someone can confirm this or if I am nuts.

I sometimes use the Touch & Travel app to buy tickets for BVG in Berlin (https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/touch-travel/id403714985?mt=8). I left the U2 at S+U Schönhauser Allee today and looked at my lock screen. At the bottom left corner I saw the icon for Touch & Travel. Swiping up opened the T&T app. I thought this only worked with devices from the same iCloud account? I didn’t use T&T today as I didn’t need to buy a ticket. 

Can somebody explain to me what happened there?
