Green team meeting notes

Here are the meeting notes that I have, please feel free to add anything that I missed or didn't remember correctly.  Several items I wasn't exactly sure what we had agreed on as we ran way over and didn't have a lot of time to discuss certain agenda items.  

Green team agenda 3-23-13

Present: Rebecca, Love, Sarah, Kasia

Notes are not in the order discussed 

-Eat Local Challenge

No discounts available, no stores on board to label local.

Soul Flower Farm will need to be listed only in parent bulletin section of the Tuesday note (submitted by Maya) and can't be promoted by green team.  RH will communicate this to Maya

Provide existing links to families of businesses that are supporters of Buy Fresh Buy Local.

RH will set up cooking area in the art courtyard after lunch and kids in Air and maybe other classes will have opportunity to cook food from full belly farm boxes.  Food will then be available after school for all kids and parents picking up to taste.  This is to be done on Friday may 10 potentially.

End of challenge potluck cancelled because too many evening activities already scheduled.

-energizer station for bike to school- May 9th

Love will look for volunteers for taking care of following items unless otherwise noted.

Bagels, flock coordinator (rh) flock spots (Willard, San Pablo, cedar rose, bam, king), Erica Etelson doing stuffing at REI (sarah will confirm) (rh will confirm rei date)

set up crew, staffing the table, first aid station

-regular meeting time- not enough time to discuss

- budget proposal update

$300 budget, additional projects need to propose budget for approval and likely can 

Come out of line item in budget (teach in, parent Ed etc)

Receipts required

Green fire- movie (love will look into it)

Team should look at How to engage more

Vision statement for green team- how are our events reaching goals in vision

Suggested that green team work with diversity committee next year around issues of class and environmentalism

-Full belly farm box credit- will use all four boxes at one time

-green auto repair promotion-  let Ondine know that green team not going to promote (RH)

-popsicles in the park bike day-cancelled for this year.  Some discomfort with kids riding without parents.

-electric bike update.-listing again this weekend on Craigslist if not sold then will put in auction

-Thank you to sr2s for the big tadoo puppet show (Sarah)
