Hi WYL Fans:
The next (10/23) Wednesday Yachting Luncheon is LIVE and IN PERSON!
The Birth and Colorful History of the Biggest Racing Fleet on SF Bay.
Nicole Breault, Nat Pres, J/105 Class; Bruce Stone, Past Pres, J/105’s; Rod Johnstone, Designer J/105.
Nicole, her husband Bruce and special guest Rod Johnstone, Co-Founder of J/Boats and Designer of the J/105, will recount the creative beginnings and history of this popular fleet on SF Bay and the role local sailors like Don Trask played in establishing J/105s as the core fleet in the Rolex Big Boat Series and other regattas around the country. Breault and Stone campaign Arbitrage #116 in San Francisco and Arbitrade #98 on the East Coast. Demonstrating that great sailors can compete successfully in borrowed boats, they have chartered or owned 25 different J/105s, winning two North Americans, two Rolex Big Boat Series, several Block Island Race Weeks, Regata de Chiloe, and Sailing World NOODs in five different cities.
