Ahoy Sailors,

In additional also participated in
1. Women sailing seminar 2024
2. EYC Women sailing course

Racing Experience:

Sequoia Club Sunset Series
IYC Sadie Hawkins (Upcoming)

I am open to any position on the boat.

Sailed around Bay area and BVI.
Sailed mostly Catalina’s, Santana 22, Fountaine Pajot. Recently sailed on Wilderness 30 and Cal 40.

My son is a freshman at UC, Berkeley. I visit Berkeley on a regular basis. I am an empty nester now. I  have grown sea legs and developed an addiction for sailing. I have my own PFD, foul weather gear and deck shoes. I have time in hand during the weekends. I can also sail in the evenings during some weekdays. If you need a hard working and easy going crew with a passion for sailing and open to learning new tips and tricks, please text or email me. I am available to help your team win.

Regards,
Lakshmi

Lakshmi, I race a J105 out of Berkeley. I have been doing more single handed sailing lately and was going to race this evening on my own to practice some techniques. But you are welcome to join me if you would like.  Double handed has some cool challenges too.  Always good to get more people into our races here.

Ahoy Sailors,

How are you all? It is only Wednesday but I am already dreaming about sailing again. Well after Wednesday even the calendar says WTF ;-) Does anyone need a crew for the upcoming beer can race or other weekend yacht races? I got introduced to this new sport only last year. My son just finished his freshman year at Cal and so I have the time to invest in my new hobby. I don't have the bragging rights that I grew up sailing. But I am hardworking and easy going. I have a very deep appreciation of the Bay Area after I started sailing. I try to sail 4x per week. I for any and every way to improve my skills.

A bit on my sailing background so far:
Certifications:
ASA 104 (bareboat cruising) - Dec 2024
ASA 114 (catamaran) - Dec 2024
ASA 118 - (docking) Feb 2025

In additional also participated in
  1. Women sailing seminar 2024
  2. EYC Women sailing course Jan 2025
  3. Sequoia yacht club crew connect class
  4. Upcoming Assymetric Spinnaker Clinic at Modern sail
Racing Experience:
OYC Sunday Brunch series 2025
RYC Big Daddy One Pursuit.
RYC Small boats race
BYC Beer Can races
Sequoia Yacht Club Sunset Sail
South Bridge Races
Great Vallejo Race- raced on Yellow Fin J 105
Our boat came first in our group on Sunday and second on Saturday. Overall 20th  position. I did Mast for the race

Race Positions:
Trimming the jibe and main sail, Rail Meat. Done mast once.

That said, I am open to any position on the boat.

Sailed around the Bay area and BVI. Sailed mostly Catalina’s, J 105, Santana 22, Fountaine Pajot. Recently sailed on Wilderness 30, Cal 40, Mercury, Oceanis Beneteau and J 44.
 Have a good day !!

Regards,
Lakshmi
