Of relevant interest to some of you reading this, there are a pair of East Bay Linux Installfests happening this month; one this very Saturday, the day before the first BerkeleyLUG meetup already posted here.
1. There is a request for volunteers for Converting Chromebooks to Linux at the Berkeley Unified School District's (BUSD's) Family Engagement Event on August 9th; please see the  [SF-LUG] mailing-list posting at http://linuxmafia.com/pipermail/sf-lug/2025q3/016114.html

2. The Alameda Free Library will be hosting a Linux installfest on August 30th; exactly three wks after the BUSD's Converting Chromebooks to Linux event.
The [conspire] mailing-list posting 'Save the Date: Alameda Linux Installfest' at
http://linuxmafia.com/pipermail/conspire/2025-May/013003.html elaborates upon the Alameda Free Library's Linux installfest.
