Hey wonderful people,
I'm a part of this really amazing organization/campaign called the Real Food Challenge, which is a national campaign aimed at redirecting university spending dollars on food towards food that is ecologically sound, community based, fair, and humane. (We're using the Real Food Guidelines to guide our purchasing practices at the food collective.) Through RFC, I have this great opportunity to co-lead the "youth food and farming" track at the upcoming Bioneers conference, which is this huge environmental conference in Marin in October. Check out the conference here:

We've gotten scholarships for 8 students to attend Bioneers as part of the RFC delegation, which means you can attend the entire conference for just $65 plus the cost of food (registration is usually over $400). It will start the evening of October 14 (a Wednesday) and go through the 18th (a Sunday). It's a really amazing opportunity to be a part of something big and something that might otherwise be out of our budgets. It'll be hella fun, you'll learn and teach a lot, you'll meet great people, and it might be a highlight of your semester.
If you're interested in attending, fill out an application to be a part of our delegation here:

Happy Tuesday!
