Santa Monica Cooportunity Food Coop is offering grants!

Hi all!

I'm Madi, a friend of Dav Corson-Knowle's and I've been participating via internet from afar (Argentina and now, LA) for now with the BSFC, so I just thought I'd introduce myself for a sec before I launched into the grant info.  I'm hugely looking forward to finally meeting all you wonderful, committed people when I'm finally moved up into my new place in Berkeley.  Until then, here's a small but still-worth-applying-for grant I just read about in my local co-op news:

It's approx. $1000 that the Santa Monica Cooportunity offers as part of their Cooperative Community Fund program that they award to local orgs and causes.  The members will vote on it on August 31st, so if we're interested we should get cracking soon.  I'm not an experienced grant writer, but I have written some mean cover letters, papers, and presentations in my day, so I'd be stoked to collaborate with someone who might have the grant angle working already.
