4. Sunday, 14th April, 4:00pm - 6:00pm - Awesome Anonymous gathering
Awesome Anonymous is a community of young adults, inspiring and supporting one another to chase something Awesome. We share the journey of pursuing what means the most to us, in every genre from art to tech; from philanthropic to profitable. We see this as the best way to impact our local society with our passions and skills, and come together to encourage each other in the aspirations we tend to forget through work and obligations. Many of our group are recent graduates, and we count among us many DUAL alumni who are looking to be part of environments bursting with ideas and energy, like those we found in university.
We at AA are huge fans of Design Thinking, because its lessons on Prototyping are crucial to pursuing any Awesome goal. Too often, people give up on something Awesome because of how daunting it can seem. But really, the trick to getting there is failing fast through quick and dirty prototypes.
So for the next session, we have the inspiring Shaun Koh of Syinc (Singapore's very own Design Thinking consultancy) to share the tools of Prototyping, and how it helped build Syinc to what it is today.
When: 14 April, Sunday, 4-6pm
Where: Hub Singapore (next to Triple One Somerset)
RSVP at: http://www.facebook.com/events/138983366282527/

Chicago’s MSFM Singapore Program in brief: The Financial Mathematics Program is taught by University of Chicago faculty and lecturers drawn from industry professionals. We teach students the principles of applied mathematics as those principles relate to the financial industry. Students learn about the theoretical components involved with pricing derivatives and managing assets as they learn how to work with complex mathematical and financial models.
With a mission to educate and train the next generation of industry leaders, the University of Chicago’s Master of Science in Financial Mathematics (MSFM) is offered in its entirety at the Singapore campus. Curriculum and coursework are identical to the main Chicago campus and classes are broadcast live from Chicago to Singapore with real-time interactive video conferencing. Throughout the year, MSFMMSFM faculty visit the Singapore campus to provide on-site lectures and to hold seminars with students. Each course meets three hours per week and is accompanied by additional tutorial sessions.
